Opening Settings
Touch the surah’s name at the top of the page to open the contents, then touch the gear at the top.
Other reciters
Sheikh Maher al-Muaiqly’s recitation is inside the app. Four more reciters can be downloaded: Ali al-Huthaify, Muhammad Ayyub, Khalid al-Muhanna and Ibrahim al-Akhdar.
- Open Settings › Reciter and touch a name. The download starts, and he becomes your reciter when it finishes.
- To download a reciter without changing yours, use Settings › Downloads.
- Each recitation is the whole Quran, about 820 to 960 MB, so Wi-Fi is best.
- If a download pauses, it continues when you are back online. If it fails, touch Try again; if your device is full, free some space first.
- To free space, swipe a downloaded reciter’s row and touch Remove.
Translations and language
Quran Rehal follows your device’s language: the meaning appears in it when the app has a translation in that language, and in English otherwise.
- To read another translation, open Settings › Translation and choose from 74 languages. The first row takes you back to your device’s language.
- Every translation and tafsir is already in the app, so there is nothing to download.
- A concise tafsir comes with the translation in many languages. With your device in Arabic, al-Tafsīr al-Muyassar opens in full.
- The app’s own words follow your device’s language too. If you have set up more than one language, iOS also lets you choose one just for Quran Rehal, in the Settings app.
Without a connection
Quran Rehal works offline: both Mushafs, every translation and tafsir, search, and Sheikh al-Muaiqly’s recitation. Reciters you download work offline too. You need a connection only to download a reciter and for iCloud sync.
iCloud sync
When you are signed in to iCloud, your place in each Mushaf, your bookmarks and notes, your khatm plan, and your choice of Mushaf, translation, reciter, look, text size and background sound follow you between your iPhone Duo, iPhone and iPad. There is nothing to set up, and no account of ours.
A downloaded reciter stays on the device you downloaded him on, so download him on each device you read on. Until then, Sheikh al-Muaiqly recites there.
Refunds
Quran Rehal is a one-time purchase, and Apple handles purchases and refunds. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue refunds ourselves.
Privacy
Quran Rehal collects no data: no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your place, bookmarks and settings stay on your devices and in your own iCloud. The Privacy Policy has the details.
