Terms of Use
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply to Quran Rehal, the Quran app for iPhone Duo, iPhone and iPad published by NVAPPS LTD (“we”, “us”). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and our Sources and licences.
In short: you may use the app and its content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. The Quran pages, translations, tafsir and recitations come from the sources credited on our licences page. We are not a religious authority. Refunds go through Apple. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
1. Who we are
Quran Rehal is published by NVAPPS LTD. You can reach us at support@quranrehal.com.
2. Apple’s licence agreement
Your use of the app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). These terms add to the Apple EULA, mainly for the app’s content. They do not replace it, and if the two conflict, the Apple EULA applies.
In addition:
- these terms are between you and NVAPPS LTD, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claims about the app, including product liability, consumer protection and intellectual property claims;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
3. Your licence
When you buy Quran Rehal, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and its content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, on Apple devices you own or control and as the App Store’s rules allow, including Family Sharing. The app and its content are licensed to you, not sold.
The app’s design, code, word timings, background sounds and other original parts belong to NVAPPS LTD or its licensors. We keep all rights we do not expressly give you.
4. Third-party content and licences
The Quran page typefaces and page text, the translations, the tafsir and the recitations come from third parties and are used under their own licences and terms. Each is credited on our Sources and licences page. Those terms apply to that content alongside these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits a right that a third-party licence gives you, such as the SIL Open Font License for the fonts or the MIT License for the page text. A credit does not mean that a source endorses Quran Rehal.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- extract, copy, redistribute, sell or publish the app’s content packs, or the original work in them such as the word timings and background sounds (the open-licence fonts and page text keep the rights their licences give, as section 4 says);
- remove or hide the credits and licence notices;
- use the app or its content for commercial purposes, or in a way that breaks the law.
If you want to republish a translation, a tafsir or a recitation, take it from its original source and follow that source’s terms.
6. Religious content
- The Arabic text of the Quran is shown as published in the Madinah and IndoPak Mushaf layouts, set in the DigitalKhatt typefaces.
- Translations and tafsir are human interpretations of the meaning of the Quran, not the Quran itself. We show them exactly as their publishers issued them, with no modification, addition or deletion. The views in them are those of their authors.
- The recitations are recordings of the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex in Madinah.
- We are not a religious authority, and the app gives no religious rulings. For questions of religious practice, please ask a qualified scholar.
- If you find an error in the Arabic text, a translation, a tafsir or a recitation, please tell us at support@quranrehal.com. We will check it with the source.
7. Purchases and refunds
Quran Rehal is a one-time purchase on the App Store. Apple takes your payment and shows you the price before you buy. We never see your payment details.
Refunds are handled by Apple, under its own policies: you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
In the EU and EEA, the app is sold to you by Apple Distribution International Ltd. as merchant of record. The 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content is handled by Apple, under its own terms.
We cannot issue refunds ourselves. If something in the app does not work, please also tell us at support@quranrehal.com.
8. Updates and changes to the content
We may update the app and its content, for example to apply a newer version of a translation from its publisher, to fix errors, to keep the app working on new systems, or to comply with the law or a licence. If a rights holder withdraws permission for some content, we may have to remove it. Where your law gives you rights when digital content changes, as in the EU and the UK, those rights apply.
9. No guarantees
We take great care with Quran Rehal, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. Apart from what these terms say and the rights you have by law, the app and its content are provided as they are.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under mandatory consumer law, wherever you live.
We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
Otherwise, and only as far as the law allows:
- we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential loss;
- we are not liable for business losses, because the app is for personal use;
- our total liability to you for anything relating to the app is limited to the price you paid for it.
11. Ending the licence
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Your licence ends if you seriously break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on liability and on your consumer rights, continue to apply.
12. Your consumer rights and courts
If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live always apply to you, and nothing in these terms takes away the protection they give you.
Where the law gives you the right to bring proceedings in the courts where you live, as it does in the EU and EEA, the UK and Switzerland, you can do so.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for good reasons, such as changes in the law, in the app, or in the licences for its content. We will post the new version here with a new date. Changes do not apply to disputes that arose before them.
14. General
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
